It is almost time to celebrate our Fathers! Whether you are young or old, whether your father has moved on to heaven or is here with us....we can all take a moment out of our day to let him know how important his influence is to us.
My father is no longer with us here....but I think about him daily and wish I would have celebrated him more when he was here. He was one of the kinds of fathers that kids dream of. He was always there at sporting events. He talked to me and not any me, even as a child. He would turn down the radio in the car to hear what I was saying when I would talk. He was golden.
Celebrate your fathers on their special day. And stop to thank God for such a blessing.

Do You Go to Church Every Sunday?
Now that Easter, and the holidays leading up to it, is over, are you still going to church? Or are you a person who goes to church on the big holidays? Maybe you don't go at all anymore?
My belief is that if you pray, if make God and your religion a part of your everyday life, the place you go to worship and praise him will not make or break you. It is your relationship that matters.
I know there are those of you who feel that it shows respect to go to the Church and it is absolutely necessary. I understand that, too.
What are your beliefs on this subject?

Are You Ready for Easter?
Easter is fast approaching. It is almost here. Are you ready to celebrate? When you are done with the morning Easter egg hunts and the Easter baskets, be sure to make time for church and explaining to your children the meaning and the purpose behind the holiday. Your kids need to have a relationship with Christ and it is your job to nourish this.
You do not need to take away the traditions of the egg hunts and more, but you need to make sure they are secondary to the real reason for the celebration. Each of your children should be able to tell you that on this day of resurrection, Christ the Lord was risen.

First Communion is Fast Approaching For Many!
Many of my friends have kids celebrating their First Communion this week. Others have a celebration at Easter mass. Whenever your children or children you know are celebrating...make sure you show you are proud of them.
Some gift ideas would include a first bible, rosary, cross necklace or something of that nature. You can find some ideas at Holy First Communion.

Time for a First Communion Celebration!
It is that time of the year when many people are preparing to join their children in celebrating their First Communion. The kids have worked hard for this. Show you support for their religious education and their religious life by making this a party to remember!
Of course, you will need to find girls Communion dresses and boys suits. Let them be a part of the selection process. You can count on the fact that your little girl has been thinking of the beautiful white dress she will wear on her special day. Although you need to make sure it is an appropriate dress for the occasion (and the price is acceptable), they can still help out. There are dresses with lace, sequins and beading....a girl's dreaming. OK, so your son may not be looking forward to being stuck in a suit. But girls are READY to wear this dress.
You can go fancy or have a family gathering, it doesn't matter how much money you spend. What matters is that your kids get the message that religious milestones are to be celebrated and that in your family, religion is important.
If you want to find information and products, visit Holy First Communion.
